Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions are crucial to any business and it is extremely important that they are tailored to each particular type of business. Some of the more crucial terms and conditions to be aware of are:
- Making sure to include an effective retention of title clause to state that title to the goods only passes to the customer when payment is received in full.
- It should be clear from the conditions that risk to the goods shall pass to the customer upon delivery.
- The terms should contain a complaints policy.
- It should be clear that the price will be the supplier's relevant trade price at the date of order and the clause should also deal with VAT.
- The terms should set out clearly the payment arrangement between parties and deal with the interest payable for late payment.
