BRENDAN DILLON

Brendan is the Managing Partner of the practice. Having qualified as a solicitor in 1990 he set up the practice in 1993.He has a particular interest in developments in the area of Practice Management.

He has an extensive family law client base having advised clients in relation to separation and divorce matters for many years. He is an accredited Mediator and practices both as a Family Law and Civil and Commercial Mediator. He has also trained in the practice of Collaborative Law.

He also advises owners / managers of small and medium sized businesses in relation to business law / company law matters as well as employment law and commercial litigation. He also advises on a range of sports related matters.

Brendan was Chairman of the Guidance and Ethics Committee of the Law Society for three years between 2013 and 2015 and still serves as a Consultant. He is also a member of the Law Society Family and Child law Committee.

He is also a member of the Dublin Solicitors’ Bar Association, The Family Lawyers Association and the Irish Commercial Mediators Institute. He is a former Chairman of the F.A.I. League of Ireland between 2002 and 2004 .

Brendan has been involved in numerous boards of voluntary and charitable bodies.

Pauline joined the firm in April 2003. She has a degree in Business and Legal Studies and a post-graduate Diploma in Social Policy from University College, Dublin. Pauline has gained experience in a wide range of legal services and provides clients with advice on business law, employment, property, litigation, Wills and probate matters. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and her interests include music, aerobics and walking.

Lorna joined the firm as a Solicitor in June 2015. Lorna obtained an Honours Degree in Law (LL.B) in 2010 and a Masters in Commercial Law (LL.M) from University College Dublin in 2012. In addition to working in Ireland, Lorna has also gained international experience having worked with a law firm in London. She primarily advises clients in all aspects of Property Law, Probate, Estate Planning and Family Law. Through her extensive experience she has developed the necessary skills and sensitivities required, particularly for the areas of Family Law and Probate. Lorna also has strong civil litigation experience and has been involved in highly contentious personal injuries cases. In her spare time she practices Karate and has represented Ireland at many international tournaments. In addition she enjoys hillwalking and is a keen rugby supporter.

Donna Phelan

Donna joined the firm in September 2020.  Donna comes with a wealth of experience, having been a Legal Executive for 11 years prior to entering the Roll of Solicitors in 2018.  Donna holds a Diploma in Law, a Certificate in Technology Law and a Diploma in Corporate Law and Governance.  She deals primarily in the area of Litigation and has been involved in many contentious personal injuries cases.  She also has extensive experience and skill in advising clients on Probate, Family Law and Property.  Her interests include walking and music.

Sally-Ann joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in June 2018. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and a Masters in Common Law from University College Dublin.

Sally-Ann specialises in areas such as Property, Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney, Probate, and Family Law.

Her interests include music, traveling, and film.

Erika Coughlan

Erika graduated from University College Cork with a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree before going on to achieve an LLM in Child and Family Law. She continued her legal studies at the Honourable Society of King’s Inns and was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2018. Erika practiced as a barrister for three years before completing the Law Society Conversion Course in order to become a solicitor. She specialises in family law.  Her interests include cooking, running and travel.

Áine joined Dillon Solicitors in February 2006 and qualified as a Legal Executive in 2008. She is assistant to Pauline Horkan.  Áine enjoys and is well-versed in the areas of Conveyancing, Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Probate and Commercial Law. Her interests include keeping fit, reading and is a keen rugby and football supporter.

Lynsey began working with Dillon Solicitors in July 2007. She qualified as a Legal Executive with a Diploma in Legal Studies in 2007 and subsequently obtained an Honours  Degree in Irish Law from Griffith College in 2009.   Lynsey is part of the family law team and works with Brendan Dillon.  She also has experience in conveyancing, wills and litigation. Her interests include reading and walking.

Maria moved from Murray Sweeney Solicitors with Brendan Dillon in 1993. She was responsible for setting up the office computer system, filing system, client data base etc. and generally assisting Brendan in the new firm. She re-joined back the firm after a few years away, during which time she completed a FETAC Level 5 Course in the Early Childhood Education and Development but always had an interest in Law. At the weekends Maria helps out with an Under 16 Girls Camogie Team and also assist in Fund raising for the Karate Club. She also enjoys travelling and reading.

Siobhán joined Dillon Solicitors in August 2016. Siobhán obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from Maynooth University in 2014 and was conferred with the Barrister-at-Law Degree (BL) in 2015. She is also currently a PhD Candidate in Law at Maynooth University. Siobhán works with Brendan Dillon. Her interests include music, swimming and baking.

Chloe Byrne joined the firm in October 2018 and has worked for and supported all departments within the firm. Chloe is currently assisting Brendan Dillon, working in various areas of Law including Probate, Family Law, Wills, EPOAs and Conveyancing. Chloe’s interests include longs walks with her dog, reading and travelling.

Luiz has a Degree in Law (L.L.B) at Faculdade de Direito de Vitoria – Brazil, is currently studying a master’s degree at University College Dublin (UCD) and came to Ireland from Brazil in January 2021.

He is Pauline’s Horkan Legal Secretary and is enjoying work with Probate and Conveyancing.

His interests are collect vinyl discs as Blues, Jazz, MPB and Bossa Nova, also has interest in reading and writing.

Megan Mahon Joined the firm this year.  Megan has just completed her Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from The National University of Ireland, Maynooth and has just been accepted into the L.L.M Program also with Maynooth.

Megan enjoys many areas of law but is especially enjoying Family Law and is working with Erika Coughlan as her Legal Secretary.

Her interests are anything that involves history and culture, and she enjoys travelling.

Jane is the firm’s Office Manager. Her role is to ensure that all administrative structures in the office are in place as well as putting in place best practice processes for the smooth running of the office. Jane is a qualified accounting technician and a member of The Institute of Legal Accountants. She has worked in the accounting and bookkeeping sector for the last twenty years and brings a wealth of experience to Dillon Solicitors.
